University of Kiel provides the two-subject degree program “Master of Education in Art (Teaching at Grammar Schools Profile)”, which allows graduates to take up a teaching position at grammar schools. The course has a duration of 2 years. Studies begin in the winter and summer semester. This Master's degree, which builds on the content of the topic didactics modules in the bachelor's degree, deepens contemplation on teaching and learning art-scientific and artistic-practical ideas. Students receive 100 credit points after the completion of their studies. It is expected that students would be exposed to a wide range of theoretical and conceptual approaches to the subject of art during their studies.
