“Master of Education in Art” is available at the University of Kiel for a period of 2 years. Studies begin in the winter semester and grammar school and community school teachers will benefit from this degree. As a teacher training course with a topic, the course focuses on the students' artistic-practical expertise to incorporate art-theoretical content as well as a didactic focus on pedagogy and allows them to execute duties linked to school and extracurricular aesthetic education instruction. By the end of their studies graduates will receive 180 credit points. As a prerequisite for the degree, students must have a genuine interest in teaching art in schools.
