The single-subject degree program “Bachelor of Science in Chemistry” is an undergraduate degree held at the Christian Albrecht University of Kiel for a duration of six semesters. Studies begin in the winter semester. During their studies, candidates will receive fundamental training in inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, toxicology, and a related subject of their choice. Following the completion of their Bachelor’s degree, graduates have access to the Master’s degree followed by the doctorate. Candidates receive a total of 168 credit points as well as a total of 12 credit points writing a Bachelor’s thesis. After completing their studies, students with a Bachelor’s degree are qualified for a variety of non-university jobs, including chemical research, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and government jobs.
