Kiel University offers its prospective applicants the two-subject teacher education program “Bachelor of Arts in English/ North American Studies”, which lasts for 3 years or 6 semesters. The program is classified as a two-subject Bachelor’s degree and the winter semester kicks off the academic calendar. As a prerequisite for this degree program applicants are supposed to show a proof of English language proficiency such as IELTS or TOEFL. Graduates can either go for further courses of study after the completion of their degree such as Master’s degree program English or instead work as a teacher in upper secondary schools.
