Description
The degree program “Master of Science in Environmental Geography and Management” is offered at the University of Kiel for a period of 4 semesters. The course begins in the winter semester. Students will get a deep understanding of geographic environmental analysis and spatial environmental management, and they will learn how to apply it to real-world problems. During the course of study, students will learn about GIS-based environmental assessment and environmental observation. Student learn how geodata are captured, processed, and statistically assessed using contemporary methodologies. They then apply this knowledge in the framework of project studies or teaching research projects, which are usually closely related to the current research activity at our institution. Career-wise graduates can find employment opportunities in landscape planning offices or in the nature conservation associations.
