Description
The Christian Albrechts University of Kiel offers its prospective applicants the two-subject degree program “Bachelor of Arts in European Ethnology/Folklore”. The degree lasts for a period of 3 years. Candidates will focus on daily culture, ideally in Germany, with a comparative perspective on Europe, during their studies. The applicants should be well-rounded in terms of their cultural-sociological, historical as well as social-historical interests. The course is structured into two sections, the first of which introduces the discipline's basics and sets the groundwork for comprehending scientific correlations and developing analytical abilities. Graduates of European ethnology can find employment in regional museums, publishing, the media industry, and public cultural activities in the regions.
