The Bachelor’s degree “Bachelor of Arts in French Philology”, which begins in the winter and summer semester, is offered by the University of Kiel. The program has a duration of 6 semesters and is conducted as a two-subject Bachelor’s course. A major goal of this course is that graduates would be able to immediately use what they have learned in their careers. Graduating students will have excellent French language skills, as well as media abilities particular to their field of study. They will also be well-versed in culture, linguistics and literary studies, owing to their technical and methodological expertise. Career-wise candidates can work in areas such as translation, cultural management or tourism among others.
