Description
The one-subject “Bachelor of Science in Geography” is offered by the University of Kiel. The standard duration of this program is 6 semesters. The academic calendar begins in the winter semester. While studying, students will learn about climate change, landscape and coastlines. They will also learn about scientific theories and techniques of geographic information processing, remote sensing and geo-media in addition to empirical social research and statistical methodologies. Students can also collaborate transdisciplinary with students from botany, soil science, geosciences, or law, for example, by picking a minor that is close by. Good spoken and written English is necessary for this undergraduate degree. Career-wise graduates can work in tourism management, media, development cooperation among other fields.
