Description


The two-subject teaching program “Bachelor of Arts in German” is provided by the University of Kiel, with studies beginning in the winter semester. The program is designed for applicants who wish to become a teacher in the secondary levels 1 and 2 at grammar and community schools. Candidates with a scientific curiosity and an interest in theoretical and methodological problems may apply for this undergraduate program. Scholars acquire media skills in areas such as German linguistics, Newer German literature and media as well as Older German Literature. The course is organized into modules and includes the study of two topics with 70 credit points each, the production of a bachelor thesis in one of the two subjects with 10 credit points, and the study of the teaching profession in grammar schools with 30 credit points.
