The “Master of Arts in German” is offered at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel for a standard duration of 4 semesters. The program commences in winter and summer semesters although winter semester is recommended. It is aimed at students who, after completing a bachelor’s degree and a two-subject master’s degree, aim to become a teacher at secondary levels I and II at grammar and community schools. The two-subject master’s program comprises the study of two subjects with a total of 33 credit points each. Following graduation candidates can also find work in other areas such as providing education in media, language and cultural history.
