Description
The University of Kiel offers candidates the state examination degree program “Law”, which begins in the winter semester and lasts for 4 years and 6 months. In the program, students will first learn about the "range" of law, its application, and systematics. The course of study focuses on civil law, criminal law, public law, and procedural law. Candidates commit one year to a specialty after completing the five-semester core course. Students can choose from a total of twelve concentration areas, ranging from civil law with a focus on family and inheritance law, through historical and philosophical foundations of law and health law. Following graduation students can work as a judge, or as a lawyer among other fields of work.
