Description
The single-subject degree program “Master of Science in Marine Geosciences” can be undertaken at the University of Kiel, which commences in the winter semester. The standard duration of this course is 2 years. Geological and geochemical processes in the seas are among the subjects covered in the course, which is presented according to a defined schedule. The capacity to autonomously deal with scientific issues involving the interplay of data gathering, data processing, and data interpretation, as well as the use of geographic information systems, is a key talent that is taught during the study process. Geological approaches may be used by students to reconstruct climatic conditions and build model simulations to estimate the future of the world's climate. Graduates are bound to receive 120 credit points at the end of their studies.
