The 12-semester state examination program “Medicine” is offered at the University of Kiel, beginning in the winter semester. The course enables students to operate freely as a doctor in order to address the medical issues of their time. To this aim, applicants will be taught by specialists in both scientific and practical aspects, as well as patient care. The course consists of a 48-week practical training which enhances the knowledge individuals gather during their theoretical years. As a prerequisite for this degree, students should have a strong understanding of biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics, as well as a decent command of the German language.
