The two-subject program “Bachelor of Arts in Musicology (Subject Supplement Profile)” is conducted at the University of Kiel for 3 years. The course begins in the winter semester and inspects the music history of Western art music from 17th century to the present day. Candidates should have an experience in playing instruments, choir singing etc before they apply to this degree. Students will investigate and discuss concerns concerning the internal structure, social function, and culturally communicated meaning of music over the course of their studies. The number of credit points earned at the end of their 6th semester is 110.
