On offer at the University of Kiel is the “Bachelor of Science in Physics”, which lasts for a period of 6 semesters and begins in the winter and summer semester. Students will get a foundation in mechanics, thermodynamics and electromagnetic as well as understanding of atomic and quantum physics and nuclear/particle/solid state physics throughout their time at the University of Kiel. They also have the option of choosing from sub-disciplines such as astronomy, plasma science or alien physics. This degree is suitable for students who like physics and mathematics and have a mathematically abstract style of thinking. By the end of their studies candidates are awarded 180 credit points.
