Description
The University of Kiel offers the two-subject degree program “Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Physics (Teaching at Grammar Schools Profile)”, which begins in the winter semester. The degree which leads to 110 credit points lasts for a period of 3 years. Students will get specialised and methodical understanding in mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetic, optics, atomic and quantum physics, and nuclear physics. Candidates will learn how to apply their theoretical knowledge through practical exercises, an electronics internship, and two teaching-specific physical internships. In addition to technical knowledge, students will obtain fundamental didactic knowledge, on the basis of which they will design, carry out, and learn to critically evaluate physics classes. Applicants who like physics and mathematics, have a mathematical-abstract way of thinking, and demonstrate technical and craft interests are a good fit.
