“Master of Science in Physics” is available at the University of Kiel for a duration of 2 years. The course commences in the winter and summer semester and students who have a keen interest in physics and mathematics and have technical and craft interests can be termed as a suitable choice for this degree. It is expected that students would be able to independently work on issues in contemporary physical research using scientific techniques, and to critically evaluate their own results. When they graduate, students will be able to convey their findings both verbally and in writing. Topics ranging from plasma physics to extra-terrestrial physics are included in the course. The number of credit points obtained at the end of their studies amounts to 120.
