“Bachelor of Science in Physics of the Earth System: Meteorology – Oceanography – Geophysics” begins in the winter semester and lasts for 6 semesters. This undergraduate degree can be undertaken at the University of Kiel. Students will study the physical-chemical processes occurring in the atmosphere, oceans, and the earth's interior during the course of study. The course also covers determining the status of the ocean, weather and climate forecasting, storm surge and swell forecasting, and producing novel materials, scientific equipment, and analysis methodologies. This course is best suited to students who have a knack for mathematical abstraction, are open-minded about natural phenomena, and have technical interests and computer abilities.
