The two-subject degree program “Master of Arts in Scandinavian Studies” is provided by the University of Kiel, with studies beginning in the winter and summer semester. The course lasts for 4 semesters and students acquire knowledge of the literature, culture and languages of Scandinavian countries. Candidates get access to rich literary traditions from the Scandinavian Middle Ages through the course's extensive literary library. There is usually a focus on critical reading and analysis of primarily literary works, as well as the substance, ideas, forms, and situations they are placed in. It is important for pupils to concentrate on language concerns in the linguistic focus. The number of credit points received at the end of their studies amount to 75.
