The program “Bachelor of Science in Socio-Economics” can be carried out at the University of Kiel, which begins in the winter semester. The course has a duration of 3 years and candidates who are interested in economics, sociology or political science can apply to this undergraduate degree. Students learn all the essentials of economics, sociology, and political science, as well as business administration and doing in the study of socio-economics. A fundamental grasp of interdependencies in society and the ability to assess social problems from diverse viewpoints will result from the completion of the programme. Individual subjects won't suffer because of the lack of interdisciplinarity in the training of the candidates. At the end of their studies students receive 180 credit points and career-wise graduates can take on responsible tasks in research companies, public administration among other areas of work.
