For a period of 6 semesters the University of Kiel offers the two-subject undergraduate degree „Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (Subject Supplement Profile)”, which begins in the winter semester. This Bachelor’s degree is an ideal choice for students who have an interest in societal and social contexts and have a good understanding of mathematics and statistics. Graduates will have understanding of general sociological theories, as well as two specific areas of application that they have selected. Students will learn about gender and diversity research, international political sociology, media and social structure analysis, as well as contemporary scientific and social issues, as a part of their education. There is a lot of emphasis on the methodologies and procedures of empirical social research during the study. Students will also learn how to construct their own statistics and how to analyse them appropriately during their time at the University.
