The two-subject degree program “Master of Arts in Spanish (Business Education Profile)” is offered for a period of 4 semesters at the University of Kiel and studies begin in the winter and summer semester. This curriculum focuses on introducing students to a proficient use of language by performing practical language activities with native speakers. The ERASMUS study programme also provides students with the option to take advantage of incentives for overseas stays, such as foreign language support. There are two main areas of study in linguistics: diachronic investigation of the Spanish language from its inception to the present, and syntactical study of languages. For example, students in Literary Studies and Cultural Studies compare cultural phenomena in order to develop their intercultural competency. Students in Literary Studies and Cultural Studies study and interpret literary texts of all kinds. After the completion of their studies, students can engage in various fields of activity such as private educational institutes or academic research among others.
