With a duration of six semesters, the study program “Bachelor of Science in Economics” is provided by the University of Konstanz. The students learn to understand the core models of economic theory with the qualitative effects of framework conditions and the consequences obtain comprehension in statistical methods and the basics of statistical inference while learning how to independently apply the basic concepts of mathematical statistics in order to be able to perform appropriate statistical parameter tests appropriately, select, perform and interpret. The bachelor degree program imparts a strong understanding of both macroeconomic explanatory models and economic models with topics such as design of a pluralistic tax system, the German tax system, sales tax, real taxes and wealth tax, distribution and welfare effects of taxation, financial constitution and financial equalization in Germany, public debt, the growth in government activity and more.
