“Bachelor of Arts in French Literature” is offered by the University of Konstanz with a total length of six semesters. By focusing on the academic analysis of literature written in French, the participants explore various methodologies from literary theory, literary history as well as cultural studies and cultural theory and learn how to analyse and reflect critically on literature as well as to speak and write about it with authority. The linguistic modules deal systematically with the structure and history of the French language where students expand their knowledge in core areas phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics and more. During the practical courses the French language skills are enhanced and professionally improved along with courses on regional and cultural studies, oral and written language skills, listening comprehension, translation and grammar.
