The program “Bachelor of Education in German (Secondary Education)” is with a duration of four semesters, provided by the University of Konstanz. During their study, the prospective students explore the history of language and theories of language change, language varieties and their historical background, systematic and historical foundations of German orthography including punctuation, history of the German language from the beginning to the present along with important knowledge of Middle High German, typology and language comparison. Graduates explore the authors and works of modern German literature, shapes, materials and motifs from a historical and cultural-scientific perspective, methods of text analysis and text interpretation and also explore the rhetoric, poetics, aesthetics from a historical and systematic perspective.
