The six-semester “Bachelor of Arts in History” is provided by the University of Konstanz. The program covers the time frame from antiquity to the Middle Ages s well as the modern and contemporary periods. During the course, the prospective students have the opportunity to specialize in individual working groups in fields of study such as in the history of Economics, Eastern Europe, Knowledge, Religion as well as Archaeology and develop the ability to work in databases, Internet and independently effective and efficient search for information in order to further evaluate the results in a scientifically correct manner. The course focuses on developing and building a research strategy while teaching how to deal with electronic reference works with the most important online catalogs and central historical databases. Throughout the course, graduates are introduced to reference management programs that use electronic specialist books and electronic specialist journals.
