With a duration of six semesters, the study course “Bachelor of Education in Latin (Secondary Education)” is provided by the University of Konstanz. Students deepen their basic knowledge in the most important areas of Latinist literary studies, study the history of Latin literature and become familiar with basic methods of philology, text indexing and literary studies interpretation and receive a representative selection of texts from different phases and genres of Latin literature, the history of transmission and research elaborated. The course provides knowledge based on personal reading in the original language such as poetry and prose knowledge of essential especially school-relevant authors and different eras of Latin literature, text history and tradition.
