With a total duration of six semesters, the degree program “Bachelor of Education in Mathematics (Secondary Education)” is provided by the University of Konstanz. The main areas of the course include algebra, analysis, geometry, topology and number theory along with numerics, optimisation and stochastics. The prospective students learn about the abstract set theoretical and algebraic structures and constructions, study the axiomatic method and the principles of mathematical rigor and will be able to apply abstract theorems and methods to concrete mathematical problems, analyze linear geometric facts with abstract algebraic and concrete ones, as well as independently prove simpler statements from linear algebra and become able to justify the correctness of more complex statements from linear algebra.
