The study program “Bachelor of Science in Mathematics” is with a duration of six semesters, and offered by the University of Konstanz. Divided into the two major areas of pure mathematics and applied mathematics including algebra, analysis, geometry, topology and number theory with numerics, optimisation and stochastics. During their studies the prospective students learn how to use typical mathematical methods, acquire expert knowledge and develop skills such as analytical thinking, tackling complex problems creatively and systematically, as well as working accurately. The main focus of the course is to learn both the mathematical theories and methods with the practical implementation and application by also imparting special mathematical knowledge.
