With six semesters total standard period of study, the program “Bachelor of Education in Philosophy/Ethics (Secondary Education)” is provided by the University of Konstanz. Throughout the program, the participants are able to gain an understanding of the theories and positions of classical and contemporary philosophers while discussing philosophical questions such as free will, the rationale of moral norms, the potentials of knowledge and the relationships between language and reality. The bachelor degree explores in-depth history of philosophy and a variety of its sub-disciplines in order to teach the graduates philosophical terms and theories to describe human and especially moral practice, learn how to deal with the challenges of relevant ethical problems and understand and articulate political action.
