The four-semester program “Master of Arts in Politics and Public Administration” is provided by the University of Konstanz. Throughout the course, the prospective students gain specialist knowledge in the fields of political science, administration science and management science together with the skills to work and research independently and to apply the methods and knowledge with practical orientation. The aim of the course is to enable the participants to analyze the mutual influence of interests, power relations, action strategies, conflicts and conflict solutions as the basis for design, organizational and administrative structures and the relevant conditions of leadership and management in the public, private and economic sector. While obtaining a comprehensive overview of history of ideas and the new research developments within the political science sub-discipline of international relations, the graduates receive analytical and technical tools in order to be able to evaluate the latest developments. The master course provides in-depth knowledge of theoretical and analytical concepts that capture the interaction between political, administrative and social structures as well as understanding of analytical differences and similarities between different political systems, political cultures and democratic patterns, knowledge of central theories and the ability to use these theories.
