The University of Lugano, founded in 1996, is a public university seated in Lugano/Mendrisio of the Swiss Canton of Tessin. The University currently provides study opportunities at Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral level in the fields of Architecture, Communication Sciences, Business and Economics, Informatics, and Biomedicine to more than 2,800 students. Leading to a Bachelor’s degree are the study programs “Architecture“, “Italian Language, Literature and Culture“, “Communication Sciences“, “Economics“, “Informatics“, and “Medicine“. Offered at Master’s level are, for example, the degree programs “Banking and Finance“, “International Tourism“, “Economic Policy“, “Corporate Communication“, “Marketing“, “Cognitive Psychology in Health Communication“, “Artificial Intelligence“, “Software and Data Engineering“, “Computational Science“, the Executive Master programs “Business Administration“ and “Communications Management“, as well as various MAS and CAS programs. On top of that, the University of Lugano offers the PhD programs “Architecture“, “Computatonal Science“, “Communication Sciences“, “Economics“, “Immunology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry“, “Italian Language, Literature and Civilisation“, as well as “Informatics“. All lectures are carried out in Italian and English.
