University of Münster is providing the four-semester study program “Master of Arts in Sinology”. It is designed to teach participants the basics of Chinese culture and language, as well as to become familiar with the political, social and philosophical areas of the country. Those who would like to improve their language skills can participate in an internship program abroad. Content of study includes the subjects Tradition and Change, Language Practice, Practice and Methods of Modern China Studies, Cultures in Contact. By the end of their studies, participants are able to read, write and understand Chinese texts from the present and past. Graduates have wide range of career prospects in tourism, economy, universities, journalism, non-governmental organizations, and much more.
