The consecutive Master of Education program “Double Subject School Music for the Higher Teaching Profession at Grammar Schools - Church Music” at the University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig has a continuation of four semesters. The training provides a preparatory service for a teaching occupation in the Free State of Saxony. In addition, the course prepares students for church service in so-called B-church music positions. The program includes themes such as School specific music-making, Organ Methodology, Music Pedagogical Research, Music Didactics, Analysis, Practical School Studies and others. Students further expand and deepen their knowledge in Church music and have acquired high-level artistic skills.
