The eight-semester program „Bachelor of Music in Early Music” at the University of Music and Theatre „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig focuses on popularizing chamber music. The syllabus includes the old music subjects Historical dance, Historical gestures, Historical improvisation, Historical source studies, Historical notation studies, Harpsichord tuning and care and more. Students acquire a high level of skills and form their own personal, creative profile. Graduates become high-level musicians and can start a job in all available music fields. There are no admission requirements, only foreigners must have good German knowledge.
