The four-semester program “Master of Arts in Musicology” at the University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig concentrates on a small group of students and a high proportion of scientific practice. The training includes three main areas of "Music as Text and Performance," "Music and Media," and "Music and Theory" within the framework of the Leipzig profile. Students could choose and acquire knowledge and skills in these three fields. Furthermore, students gain experience in research and teaching. Graduates have broad and diverse career prospects as a university lecturer, dramaturge at opera, journalist, editor and other opportunities.
