“Music Teaching at Secondary Schools’’ is a state examination course offered by University of Music Würzburg. Within seven semesters, students will acquire knowledge and skills that will allow them to practice the profession of music teachers at secondary schools. Here, participants will engage in artistic, scientific and pedagogical experiences that will help them to lay the foundations of their further career paths. The curriculum for this discipline offers different modules such as Music Pedagogy and Didactics, Composition, Ear Training, Orchestra and Big Band Conducting, etc. Furthermore, students will be able to choose to study one or two instruments like accordion, bassoon, flute, piano, organ, harpsichord, and others.
