The “Bachelor of Arts in Applied Sports Science” is a 6-semester program conducted in German. The curriculum includes diverse courses in Sports Medicine, Movement Science, Sports Sociology and Education, Health and Illness in the context of Exercise, Exercise Science, Lifestyles and Health, Sports Psychology, Research Methods in Applied Sports Science, etc. Additionally, students can undertake elective modules and further their qualifications. The BA is application-oriented and provides participants with hands-on experience and key competencies. Furthermore, it promotes personal growth and the development of soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication and organisation, moderation, etc. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to pursue positions in healthcare, with commercial sports providers, sports clubs and associations, and research and teaching. They can also opt for a consecutive Master’s degree.
