The teacher training program in Art (Teaching at Grammar Schools and Comprehensive Schools)“ is a 6-semester program taught in German. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses with a focus on Specialised Science and Subject Didactics, Educational Sciences, and German for immigrant students. Additionally, participants can choose from a plethora of elective modules. The program is application-oriented and aims to teach students how to turn theory into practice. Through various group projects and application-oriented seminars, they’ll acquire practical relevance and professional core competencies. Furthermore, the program promotes the development of soft skills such as problem-solving, communication and organisation, moderation, teamwork, etc. Graduates are qualified to assume teaching positions in Art at grammar schools and comprehensive schools. They can also pursue a consecutive Master’s degree.
