Description

The “Master of Education in Art (Teaching at Grammar Schools and Comprehensive Schools)” is a 4-semester program taught in German. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Paderborn. The curriculum consists of advanced modules in Specialised Science and Didactics in Art and a further subject, Educational Sciences, and German for immigrant students. Additionally, participants can choose from various elective modules and personalise their studies. The MEd is application-oriented and aims to provide students with hands-on experience, key competencies, and soft skills needed for day-to-day operations. Additionally, it offers participants the opportunity to carry out semesters abroad and further their qualifications. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to pursue teaching positions at high schools and comprehensive schools.
