Description
The “Master of Science in Chemical Engineering” is a German-taught program with a duration of 4 semesters. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Leipzig. The curriculum consists of interdisciplinary courses in Numerics, Chemical and Biological Process Engineering, Mechanical and Thermal Process Engineering, and Physical Chemistry. Additionally, participants can tailor their studies by taking up elective modules. The MSc offers them the opportunity to set their career paths early on by choosing a specialisation between Nanotechnology, Process Engineering, and Plastics Technology. The program is research-oriented and provides students with the social, methodological, and analytical skills needed to carry out their own projects. The MSc prepares graduates for leadership positions in plant and apparatus engineering, mining and metallurgy, chemical industry, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration technology, cosmetics, detergents and adhesives, pharmaceuticals and medical technology, food, luxury goods and animal feed, supply and disposal technology, water treatment, and more.
