The “Master of Education in Chemistry (Teaching at Grammar Schools and Comprehensive Schools)” is a 4-semester program conducted in German. It is a continuation of the Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Paderborn and aims to deepen the knowledge of students. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses in Educational Sciences, Subject Didactic and Methodology, as well as Chemistry and its sub-areas. Throughout their studies, participants will receive in-depth theoretical and practical training. The program is application-oriented and teaches them how to implement their vast knowledge into practice. Furthermore, the MEd promotes the development of soft skills such as teamwork, communication and organisation, moderation, problem-solving, etc. Upon completion of the program, graduates are prepared to become Chemistry teachers at high schools and comprehensive schools.
