The “Master of Education in Chemistry (Teaching at Lower Secondary, Secondary Modern, Secondary and Comprehensive Schools)” is a 4-semester program conducted in German. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Paderborn. The curriculum includes multifaceted courses with a focus on Chemistry, Subject Didactics and Methodology, Educational Science, and German language for immigrant students. Throughout their studies, participants will receive extensive theoretical and practical training. They’ll acquire hands-on experience, as well as social, methodological, and didactic skills that will help them tackle the challenges of the profession. The MEd prepares graduates for complex tasks and qualifies them to pursue teaching careers in Chemistry.
