The teacher training program “Master of Education in Computer Science (Teaching at Vocational Schools)“ is a German-taught program with a duration of 4 semesters. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Paderborn. Throughout their education, students will focus on advanced courses in Subject Didactics and Methodology, Educational Sciences, and German for immigrant Students. They can also choose a focus area and set their career paths early on. The MEd is application-oriented and provides participants with hands-on experiance and professional core competencies. Furthermore, it promotes the development of soft skills such as teamwork, communication and organisation, moderation, problem-solving, etc. The MEd prepares graduates to assume teaching positions at vocational schools.
