Description
The teacher training program „Master of Education in Emotional and Social Development (Teacher Training for Special Education)“ is a 4-semester program conducted in German. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Paderborn. The focal point of the program is to deepen the knowledge of students and introduce them to more complex matters. The curriculum includes advanced modules in Subject Science and Didactics in Emotional and Social Development and a second subject, Learning and Teaching, Language, Educational Sciences, and German for immigrant students. Additionally, participants can diversify their studies by taking up elective modules. Throughout their education, students will receive in-depth theoretical and practical training. They’ll acquire hands-on experience, key competencies, and industry-specific skills needed for day-to-day operations. The program also offers them the opportunity to study abroad and expand their horizons. The MEd prepares graduates to handle complex tasks and assume teaching positions at special education institutions.
