Description


The teacher training program “Bachelor of Education in History (Teaching at Lower Secondary, Secondary Modern, Secondary and Comprehensive Schools)“ is a 6-semester program conducted in German. Throughout their education, students will gain a fundamental understanding of Science and Subject Didactics in History and a second subject, Educational Sciences, as well as German for immigrant students. Additionally, participants can personalise their studies by undertaking elective modules. The BEd is application-oriented and aims to teach them how to turn theory into practice. Through various case studies and group projects, students will acquire hands-on experience and key competencies. The BEd also promotes the development of soft skills needed for the challenging working environment of the profession. The program prepares graduates to assume teaching positions. Graduates can also opt for a consecutive Master’s degree.
