The “Master of Education in History (Teaching at Lower Secondary, Secondary Modern, Secondary and Comprehensive Schools)” is a 4-semester program conducted in German. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Paderborn. The focal point of the course is to deepen the knowledge of students and to introduce them to more complex matters. The curriculum consists of advanced modules in Subject Didactics and Methodology in History and a further subject, Educational Sciences, and more. Additionally, participants can choose from a plethora of elective modules and further their qualifications. Throughout their education, students will receive in-depth theoretical and practical training. The program offers them the opportunity to study abroad and acquire hands-on experience and key competencies. The MEd prepares graduates to handle challenging situations and assume teaching positions.
