The “Bachelor of Education in Learning Area Basic Language Education (Teaching at at Primary Schools)” is a 6-semester program taught in German. The curriculum consists of interdisciplinary courses in Science and Subject Didactics, Educational Sciences, and German for immigrant students. Participants can choose from a plethora of elective modules and diversify their studies. The program is application-oriented and aims to teach them how to implement their knowledge into practice. Through various case studies and group projects, students will acquire practical relevance and key competencies needed for a successful career. The BEd prepares graduates to assume teaching positions at elementary schools. It is also an excellent foundation for a consecutive Master’s degree.
