The “Master of Education in Learning Area Basic Language Education (Teaching at in Primary Schools)” is a German-taught program with a duration of 4 semesters. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Paderborn. The aim of the program is to deepen the knowledge of students and introduce them to more complex matters. Participants will focus on advanced courses in Educational Sciences, Science and Didactics in Language and a further subject, as well as German for immigrant students. Additionally, participants can personalise their studies by undertaking elective modules. The MEd is application-oriented and aims to provide students with hands-on experience, key competencies, and soft skills needed for a successful career. Graduates are qualified to become teachers at primary schools.
