The “Bachelor of Science in Materials Science” is a German-taught program with a duration of 6 semesters. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses with a focus on Experimental Physics and Theoretical Physics, Chemistry and all its sub-areas, Materials science of metals and plastics, Material Development and Testing, English, Higher Mathematics, and more. Additionally, students can choose from a plethora of elective modules and diversify their education. Through various case studies and application-oriented seminars, they’ll gain practical relevance and industry-specific skills. Furthermore, the program promotes the development of soft skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication and organisation, moderation, etc. It prepares graduates to work in Automotive and Aircraft Industries, Mechanical Engineering, Plastic and Paint Industries, Energy Industry, Electronics Industry, Medical Technology, Research Institutes, and more. Graduates can also pursue a consecutive Master’s degree.
